So, someone’s kid was fascinated by octopuses. His parents finally caved and got him one within weeks, though they had 50 of them. Apparently, just as they were getting the hang of caring for the critters, there were more critters. He was, apparently, a SHE. Terrance was a Terri! Apparently, caring for octopi is both complex and expensive. I loved this little story (and it has a happy ending). I will say that since reading The Soul of an Octopus and Remarkably Bright Creatures, I cannot eat calamari and I ask people to skip it when I’m at the table. Two good books, one great story.
