Turtles are in trouble. Water turtles, sea turtles, yard turtles, gopher tortoises….The climate is changing and with it, the gender of the turtles. They are mostly female and the projections for male populations aren’t good. Heat encourages females and things are getting hotter. That’s not all. Habitats are at risk, on land, and in the water. So, when we walked into a Famous Tate store to buy our third refrigerator in three years, I saw this display…Every Famous Tate is participating. You donate to turtle conservation and you get a stuffed turtle. Imagine if every franchise of whatever flavor chose a cause to support—and did something.
