Losing your purse may symbolize losing touch with who you are or giving up habits or life situations that make you feel confident, or complete as a person.
Dream Bible
So, I’m a writer in transition.
I’m transitioning from writing for lots of other people to writing what moves me. Not giving up the work for clients who are also friends, but I haven’t taken new clients in about five years. The last employee departed three years ago.
I actually opened an account to start my “writing,” to which my accountant asked, “How much do you expect to get paid?” “I’ll probably get paid in copies,” I told her. The new company is called Write Time. But the transition isn’t about the writing itself, it’s about whether to invest in an MFA at this point in my life…I worked fulltime and went to school full time through three degrees. At this stage of my life, am I ready to make those sacrifices? Do I need to? I’ve learned a lot at conferences and seminars.
I’ve had the purse dream three times in two weeks. The first time, I lost the purse, having left it in an atrium. When I realized it was gone and I went back for it. The only thing missing was the money. The second time the purse was lost. I got it back with my wallet, but my cards and cash, my gun, and everything else was gone.
Interestingly, there was some money hidden in the purse…it was still there. The last time, a tiny wallet that I take to the casino were gone. I got it back with the money missing.
The money doesn’t bother me, but losing my identification, well, that’s a whole different ballgame.
