The author tells us to look at the signs of hate, the swastikas and the rest—don’t look away and don’t get used to them. The reality of today gives way to our future. I don’t see a lot of swastikas in my insulated world, but I see plenty of flags I don’t agree with…political flags. The closer we get to the election, the more they appear like pustules. The author wants us to stand against them, but… people are allowed their own opinion. One of my Facebook friends strongly suggested that I fire my accountant who ardently supports a candidate that I do not. But, if I just separate myself from people that think differently, how do I connect with them?
